What to Expect
Welcome to Downsview!
New to Downsview Baptist? Welcome! We meet for worship each Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, and services last about 90 minutes. We sing together with a blend of classic hymns and contemporary songs. We pray together, and we proclaim and preach the Word of God together. Each month, we remember the Word and the sacrifice of Christ at the Lord’s Table.
What are services like?
Our services last about 90 minutes. We sing together with a mix of worship music (a blend of classic hymns and contemporary songs). We pray together, and we proclaim and preach the Word of God together. Each month, we remember the Word and the sacrifice of Christ at the Lord’s Table.
What should I wear?
We dress in a way that is respectful to one another and comfortable enough to come as you are. Most folks come “business casual”, but there is no requirement of any specific style or mode of dress.
What about our children?
We LOVE children at Downsview, and we LOVE having children worship with us. “The sound of kids is the sound of a growing Church.”
A nursery is provided for parents with young children, and as we revamp our Sunday School programs, we are so happy to have kids in the service with us.
Where can I park?
We have our own parking lot! Amazing in Toronto, right? There’s lots of parking right on site.
Will I be expected to give?
We expect our members to fund our Church, not our visitors. You are welcome to contribute, but there’s zero pressure to give.
